We are a family-owned company with a peaceful lakeside location next to Nuuksio National Park.
We are located less than 40 km from Helsinki airport (30min) and Helsinki city center (50min). You can hike or bike from us through the national park to Haltia, the Finnish Nature Center (13km).
We are specialised in outdoor activities and programs based on Finnish traditions and northern mythologies. We like to tell stories with videos. The story of the Juniper Spirit takes you to our surroundings in the summer season and winter season you can experience on Magic of the Winter-video.

VILLA PARATIISI
A cosy lakeside cottage
The cottage accommodates 14 people in 6 cosy rooms, 4 double and 3 triple rooms. The cottage has a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, spacious terraces, a traditional Finnish wood-heated sauna and a hot tub. We can aaccom date two more people in our forest cabin Ainola.
Villa Paratiisi is an ideal location for groups of friends, colleagues or family of three generations. In Villa Paratiisi you can experience the way Finnish people spend their holidays in a cottage and find out why we are the happiest country in the world.
WÄINÖLÄ
An unique place in the forest
Our wilderness hall Wäinölä is situated next to Villa Paratiisi. Traditional log-house of Wäinölä is based on models from the Iron Age, hosting groups up to 40 people indoors and outdoors up to 80 people.
In Wäinölä you can travel back to the past, learn the myths of Finns and the spirit of our epical story Kalevala, as well traditions of Vikings. Wäinölä is also a perfect place for important events like weddings and birthdays.
Wäinölä has an open fireplace and outdoors a campfire and a grill house with the Ofyr-grill. Next to Wäinölä there is Ainola, a lovely forest cabin for two people. Both Wäinölä and Ainola are wheelchair accessible.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
In the Summertime
Summer in southern Finland is best during June-September. Days are long and weather is good for outdoor activities, temperature is around 20-25 degrees and it seldom rains.
Experience activities by the lake: row a boat, paddle a canoe or SUP-board and fish with a rod. Walk in the woods of the National Park, pick berries and hunt mushrooms. Try your skills with arching, relax in the Forest yoga and experience the healing powers of the nature.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
In the Wintertime
Winter in southern Finland is best during January-March. The lakes are frozen and we have usually snow.
Try snowshoes, skin-based skis, touring skates and the traditional Finnish vehicle “kick sled”. Drill a hole on the frozen lake and try your luck with ice-fishing. We keep winter swimming place open and you can try ice-swimming and get impowered.
Outdoor activities in the woods will decrease stress levels, nature will provide problem solving skills and learning new skills offers challenges.

A Finnish Summer day by the Lake in Nuuksio

A Finnish Winter day by the Lake in Nuuksio
Explore frozen lakes and snowy forest: walk with snowshoes, try skies and skates and traditional vehicle kick sled, drill a hole on the frozen lake and try your luck with ice-fishing. Warm up in the wood-heated sauna, have a dip in an icy water and get empowered.
